Family lingo
Like most families, we have private words and sayings. This week's phrase is "whack the foosa."
The "Madagascar" DVD game, Foosa Whack, is a favorite of Nathan's.
The game's objective is to click on the foosas (lemur eating beasties)
when they stick their heads out of their holes. It's similar to
whack-a-mole but uses characters from the movie.
This morning Nathan announced that he had to go upstairs to whack
the foosa. Minds in the gutter, Paul and I looked at each other and
started laughing. Then it quickly became an all purpose phrase.
"Lucie, stop whacking Nathan on the foosa."
"You kids better behave or I'll whack you on the foosa."
"You're acting kind of funny. Did you get whacked on the foosa?"
I haven't had this much fun with a movie-inspired phrase since
Scarface's "Say hello to my little friend." Thank you, DreamWorks.
